Argus West SPEAR Program’s SIU lien resolution team delivered another impactful result—achieving a full dismissal of a pharmacy lien and securing $500 in sanctions for non-compliance.

Despite multiple continuances and direct instructions from both the defense and the WCAB Judge, the lien claimant failed to submit required documentation, including a Pre-Trial Conference Statement, and ultimately failed to appear at trial. The Court responded with $500 in sanctions: $250 for delaying proceedings and $250 for violating the Judge’s order.

The lien, originally valued at $2,000, was dismissed in its entirety—resulting in 100% savings for the defense.
This result underscores the importance of procedural compliance and reinforces that lien withdrawals do not shield providers from accountability when Court orders are ignored.
